Class Levels ...

Tiny Tots
Ages 3 - 4. No previous training. Emphasis is on creative movement.

Pre-primary/Primary Ballet

Ages 4 - 8. Basic ballet technique with little or no prior training.

Grade 1 Ballet
Ages 5 - 7. Basic ballet technique with 2-3 years prior training.

Grade 2 Ballet
Ages 6 - 9. Beginner-intermediate.3-4 years prior training.

Grade 3 Ballet
Ages 8 -12. Intermediate. 4-5 years prior training. Two classes/week required.

Grade 4 Ballet
Ages 9 and up. Intermediate with 5-6 years prior training. Emphasis on pointe preparation.

Grade 5 Ballet

Ages 10 - up. Intermediate - Advanced with emphasis on pointe technique. Three classes/week required.

Intermediate Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced One Ballet
Ages 11- up. Advanced class with emphasis on examinations. 1 to 2 classes/week required.

BBO MODERN JAZZ

These classes use traditional and modern music to explore movements requiring core strength, flexibility, high energy and dynamic movements. These classes also explore some free-movement and contemporary styles of dance. These classes allow the students to learn appropriate warm up and stretching movements and develop fitness through the high-energy movements. Examinations are available to students in classes from Grade 1 through to Advanced 2.

BBO TAP

This popular dance form covers a range of styles from traditional tap to the more modern tap. These classes allow students to explore different rhythms and get creative with their movements. Tap classes are provided from Primary through to Advanced 2 with examinations available.

Performance Opportunities

Classes are available for 13yrs and over groups who wish to compete in eisteddfod competition. It helps the children develop retention skills, and by working with their classmates on a group performance, they learn the positive aspects of working as a team to create the best end result. All students have the option to perform in solos of their choice with additional private classes required.
